Alexander Slade
Alex (Founder) spent 10 years in California working in solar innovation after completing his PhD in high-efficiency solar technologies. He became Vice President of Technology at Amonix Inc and managed a team of expert engineers to create a
world-leading solar company.
This experience inspired Alex to start Axon Energy to give small businesses in Australia the chance to save their money by using solar instead of coal power.
Alex was a key contributor to two UNSW research groups focused on the development of advanced industrial technology for solar manufacturing and fault diagnosis.
Rommel Macaraeg
Rommel (Co-Founder and Operations Director) has over a decade of industry experience in solar. He holds a Bachelor of Photovoltaic & Solar Engineering and a MBA from the UNSW Australian Graduate School of Management - one of Australia's leading business schools.
Rommel is passionate about solar energy. He has facilitated multiple solar installations, was part of Australia's Clean Energy Regulator team that inspected 25,000+ installations of small-scale solar PV systems nationally, and has investigated the benefits of solar energy for remote indigenous communities.

Rommel is passionate about solar energy having investigated its benefits for remote indigenous communities in the Philippines and facilitated solar installations in Western Sydney. He was part of the team at Australia's Clean Energy Regulator that inspected 25,000+ installations of small-scale solar PV systems.
